VECINO APALEADO

El pasado domingo (10 de agosto), a Omar le dieron una paliza en la puerta de su casa.

Omar, que nació en Marruecos, aún no conoce nuestras costumbres. Por eso, cuando salió de su casa temprano, después de no poder pegar ojo en toda la noche (gracias al escándalo que forman los clientes que acuden a «divertirse» a la discoteca Palazzio que tiene al lado), y se encontró a dos individuos adultos orinando en su portal (apuntando hacia el interior, ¡vaya por Dios!), se sorprendió muchísimo, ya que en su país de origen la gente no acostumbra a orinar en la entrada de la casa de su vecino. Pero lo que no se esperaba es que, después de orinar, los energúmenos la emprendieran a golpes con él. ¡A quién se le ocurre llamarles la atención, Omar! ¡Cómo se nota que vienes de un país civilizado!

Lo tiraron al suelo de un puñetazo y, una vez había caído, empezaron a darle patadas. Se ve que eran gente muy concienzuda. Todavía estarían pateándolo si no hubiese sido porque su pareja, que había salido al balcón a despedirlo, al ver la escena empezó a gritar pidiendo auxilio, haciendo huir a los agresores. Menos mal que había por la zona una patrulla de la Policía Local y acudieron enseguida a auxiliarlo. Aunque no entiendo muy bien cómo es posible que, con la Policía tan cerca (la casa de Omar linda con la Discoteca Palazzio y la Policía Local suele estacionar en la puerta principal del establecimiento), pudiesen ocurrir los hechos, (orines, paliza). Estarían a otra cosa; solo hay una patrulla de Policía Local vigilando y el barrio tiene muchos portales a disposición de los clientes de la discoteca.

A Omar lo evacuaron al Reina Sofía en ambulancia. Desconocer las costumbres de nuestra vida nocturna le ha costado múltiples contusiones y puede que algunos dientes, pero, sobre todo, la angustia que provoca en una persona honrada sufrir semejante sinrazón.

Tuvo más suerte que el joven al que apuñalaron en la puerta de la discoteca un par de semanas antes y que no se ha muerto de milagro, pero menos que el vecino que recriminó a otros «que orinaba» a quienes sorprendió en el acto de aliviarse. Éste, vecino viejo del barrio y buen conocedor de las nuevas costumbres, les llamó la atención desde el interior de su vehículo en marcha y, no bien hubo terminado, pisó a fondo y se alejó calle Colombia arriba, sin esperar el acuse de recibo.

Ahora Omar ya ha aprendido, ya sabe que, cuando los jóvenes que acuden a la Discoteca Palazzio a divertirse, te rompen el retrovisor del coche, lo que hay que hacer es comprarse cinta americana y sujetar la pieza en su lugar con una generosa cantidad de la misma.

Y que si, al ir a trabajar, encuentras algún cliente de la discoteca, haciendo sus necesidades en la puerta de tu casa, debes esperar a que termine y ofrecerle papel, por si es su costumbre limpiarse una vez ha terminado. Los vómitos se quitan muy bien con lejía y desinfectante y los pedazos de botellas de alcohol rotas tras el botellón se recogen con mucho cuidado, no se vaya uno a cortar…

Lástima que Omar no se hubiera mudado antes al barrio. Hasta el 2011 nadie orinaba, nadie vomitaba, nadie te rompía el retrovisor porque sí ni se emborrachaba en la calle. Luego abrieron la Discoteca Palazzio…
