Las víctimas tenían 42 y 71 años. El presunto agresor ha sido detenido por la Policía Local, que no cree que el suceso esté relacionado con la violencia de género.

Una mujer de 42 años, vecina de Llodio (Vizcaya) y su padre, de 71, han muerto en Laredo tras ser apuñalados por un hombre en la playa, que ha sido detenido, según ha informado la Delegación del Gobierno. El suceso se ha producido a última hora de la tarde y el presunto autor, vecino de Bilbao, cuya identidad no ha sido facilitada, ha sido detenido por la Policía Local en la misma playa, que en esos momentos se encontraba llena de bañistas.

La mujer, cuyas iniciales son M.G.B, falleció en la playa como consecuencia de las heridas y su muerte ha sido certificada por el juez alrededor de las 20:00. Su padre, G.G.G, fue trasladado herido de gravedad al Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla de Santander, donde ha fallecido. Según la Delegación del Gobierno, los investigadores de la Guardia Civil no creen, en un principio, que el homicidio esté relacionado con la violencia de género.

El Ayuntamiento de Laredo celebrará el lunes un pleno extraordinario en repulsa por este crimen, ha anunciado su alcalde, Ángel Vega, en un comunicado. Tras el pleno tendrá lugar una concentración ante la sede del Ayuntamiento a la que ha invitado a sumarse a todos los ciudadanos de Laredo y a los veraneantes que residen en la villa.
