Este fin de semana días 10 y 11 de enero de 2015, la Escuela para la Prevención de la Violencia ha sido sede de la  primera sesión presencial en España, del Titulo de Experto Universitario Instructor de Kick Boxing y/o Defensa Personal Integral de la Universidad de Cádiz, así mismo este titulo Propio de la Universidad de Cadiz que se desarrolla a nivel de España y Portugal en su primera edición ha tenido también la presencialidad para los alumnos portugueses en la Ciudad de Famalicao – Portugal.

Este Titulo esta bajo la Dirección del Dr. Luis Ramon Ruiz Rodriguez, Director del Instituto Andaluz Interuniversitario de Criminologia , Sec. Cadiz y  D. Jose Carlos Vera Jimenez , Director de la Escuela para la Prevención de la Violencia y  la Coordinación  esta llevada a cabo por D.Cipriano Gomes Presidente de la Fundacion Cipri Gomes.

Este Titulo Propio de la Universidad de Cádiz ha sido posible gracias al Convenio de Colaboración Académica llevado acabo entre la seccion de Cádiz del Instituto Andaluz Interuniversitario de Criminología, la Federacion Portuguesa de kickboxing y muay thai,  el centro de Formacion de la Fundación Cipri Gomes, con sede en Viana do bolo (Ourense) y la Escuela para la prevención de la violencia ( San Fdo.- Cádiz), lo que ha permitido la creación de esta Titulación Universitaria tan novedosa e inédita en el ambito internacional ya que es la primera vez que el kick boxing y la defensa personal se acerca al mundo científico universitario, que marcara un antes y un después en la formación de sus entrenadores.

Con la introducción del Derecho Penal y Civil,   Psicologia , Medicina legal y Primeros auxilios, en la formación de estos profesionales, se aporta una visión criminológica en búsqueda de la prevención en conflictos privados que pudieran tener los practicantes de estos deportes de contacto, estableciendo los limites que pone la legislación en cuanto a la Legitima defensa y las lesiones que se pudieran producir, llevando adelante el lema de la Escuela para la Prevención de Violencia que es “APRENDE A REDUCIR DAÑOS”

A día de hoy los deportes de contacto como el kick boxing, muay thai, etc., en La Unión Europea han estado regulados por diferentes federaciones y asociaciones deportivas. La formación de sus técnicos e instructores se ha llevado a cabo desde las federaciones en pequeños cursos, y con la implantación en periodo transitorio de los TECNICOS SUPERIORES DEPORTIVOS se ha avanzado en la formación cualificada de estos profesionales. 

La Universidad de Cádiz y la Universidad de Granada, se encuentran desarrollando un Proyecto de Investigación I+D: Estudio Multidisciplinar de las defensas y las técnicas de intervención policial, dirigido a la prevención de riesgos profesionales y la mejor protección de los ciudadanos, y en base a este proyecto la Universidad de Cádiz viene impartiendo una formación de Instructores Universitarios de Operativa Táctica Policial y Especialización en Defensa Personal Integral con experiencia internacional.


A partir de esta experiencia, en unión a la Federación Gallega de Kick Boxing, la Federación Portuguesa de Kick Boxing y Muay Thai, la Fundación Cipri Gomes y el Instituto Andaluz Interuniversitario de Criminología de la Universidad de Cádiz ( España), la  Escuela para la prevención de la violencia EPV,queremos dar un paso más en la formación de los profesionales del Kick Boxing desde el ámbito Universitario, con la implantación de una formación multidisciplinar de INSTRUCTOR UNIVERSITARIO DE KICK BOXING Y DEFENSA PERSONAL INTEGRAL, Como titulo de Experto Universitario, que permita evolucionar y garantizar la formación desde la aportación científica de la universidad junto a la experiencia de los profesionales del mundo del Kick boxing y la defensa personal, pudiendo desarrollarse un deporte más seguro y eficiente en todos los sentidos con Instructores Formados como no puede ser de otra manera desde el ámbito universitario.
